Sleep-over at the Mansfield Zoo
Mansfield Zoo now offers the unique opportunity for the adventurer in you to stay overnight in at one of our many locations within the Zoo grounds. The warmer weather make the experience lots of fun, and will provide an even more memorable animal experience as you fall asleep to the sounds of the lions, dingos, and other night sounds. Bring along your camping gear and set yourself up for a great night out. Numbers are limited to keep the experience personal, so book ahead to make sure you get the date you want. We also know that life sometimes gets in the way of great plans, and we are also happy to change dates up to the day before if needed. We have limited swags available ($20 per swag to hire) for people who don’t have their own gear – bookings are essential. See contact us for information on how to book your overnight adventure.
Take the time to do something different, and get away from it all with your own personal Zoo experience
How sleep-overs work:
‘Sleep-overs’ are available from September to May each year. Numbers are strictly limited to a maximum of 25 people, so be sure to book early if you have a larger group. Two days of entry to the Zoo is included and you are free to roam the grounds on both the day of arrival and the day of departure, as well as to exploring the local area. This is a camping experience, so you will need to bring along a bbq dinner for your group, and breakfast of your choice. Most people like to have pancakes on the bbq for brekky! if you prefer to eat out, make a booking at one of the many nearby hotels and restaurants.
Note that swags are not recommended for young children under 8 years unless they are already familiar with them. Children of any age are welcome with your own tent. Sorry no wheeled vehicles can access the grounds. See contact us for more information on staying overnight and how to book your overnight adventure. Our kiosk is open for soft drinks and ice-creams and mementos of your stay can be purchased at the gift shop.
Costs are $65.00 per adult and $45.00 per child.
Note: Lion feeding 1.30 pm weekends, public and school holidays, and by arrangement with bus tours.
