Where is Mansfield Zoo?
Mansfield Zoo is situated in North Eastern Victoria, just 10 minutes drive from the township of Mansfield and forty minutes from the ski fields of Mt Buller. Our location is in the beautiful Delatite Valley, with views to Mt Buller, Mt Timbertop, Mt Stirling and many other mountains of the glorious Alpine Ranges.
Lake Eildon is literally just around the corner, only a short drive to the Goughs Bay boat ramp. The famous Craigs Hut is near by, as are the charming townships and localities of Jamieson, Howqua, Kevington and Woods Point. Cool climate vineyards abound in the area as well, with Delatite, Kinloch and Buller View almost within arms reach.
How to get to Mansfield Zoo
The Zoo is located about 2 hours drive from outer Melbourne and about the same time from Albury/Wodonga. There are various ways to get to Mansfield, most commonly via the Hume Highway to Benalla, the Melba Highway to Yea and the Maroondah Highway via Yea, and then on to Mansfield.
If you drive via Yea, you will go through the famous township of Bonnie Doon (featured in the film the Castle) and across the Bonnie Doon Bridge, which after 15 years of drought, finally has plenty of water under it.
Our full address is 1064 Mansfield Woods Point Road, Mansfield. (Known locally as Jamieson Road.) Once at Mansfield, follow the road signs to Jamieson, as you would have to drive past the Zoo to get to Jamieson. We are only 10 minutes from Mansfield, before you cross the Delatite River and Goughs Bay turnoff.
Hint: From Mansfield, follow the signs to Jamieson. We are 10 mins from Mansfield on the road to Jamieson.
